June 11, 2003

I would, and still will, bet my last dollar on a beer company picking up the title sponsorship after RJR bails. Come on, the Nextel Cup?

LeMans Qualifying

June 11, 2003

Wouldn’t it be nice for old guys like me to see a front driver like the Panoz at least do well in the race? And ANYBODY, please, do in the Vette’s this year. A Ferrari win would be the capstone to a superb decade of racing.

Has there ever been a former active F1 champ who has bitched and moaned more than this guy? If there was I would love to know his name. Such talent and a total A-hole! Now that his contract is ending notice the changed tone and attitude?

Super Tuner

June 11, 2003

Since I am fairly new to NHRA I find it amazing that someone could come into an organization and make such a big impact so quickly. In other racing series it takes entire seasons to make such changes….but I guess I am not alone in my astonishment in how quickly Alan Johnson turned the US Army top fuel team around resulting in Tony Schumacher’s win this past weekend.

Hell…when I went to Englishtown this year I never even got to see the car run…now it is winning….
