In their profile of Darla Elkins (Marketing Manager for PK Racing) Darla mentions that “So if anybody tells you have to know somebody on the inside to get into this business, it’s completely untrue.” She makes this comment after stating that “My dad works for Bridgestone/Firestone (now the presenting sponsor and sole tire supplier to the Champ Car World Series).” Honey, if that isn’t someone on the inside….I don’t know what is! Of course, being an attractive young woman probably didn’t hurt either.
