Car or Driver?

July 26, 2003

Same question we asked when John Andretti was fired by The King after the first Pocono race this year. Andretti will be starting from the five spot on Sunday, and the 43 car will be starting from 36th. Hmmm, car or driver? In the case of the 43, probably both are lacking in performance.

Even if Andretti is leading the race I would hope he would give Mongo the chrome horn given the opportunity.

Interview with John Force

July 24, 2003

Check out this interview with John Force at DragRaceCentral.com. Force is fresh off his win at the Mile High Nationals this past weekend, his first of the season.

When asked if he was retiring any time soon the 12 time champion had this to say…
“No. I wouldn’t know what to do. I want to stay in this business because it is fun. I love it at night when the sun goes down and the cars are in the staging lanes and everybody is hoping for that victory or low E.T. and it is just really awesome. I love racing at night when you can see the header flames coming out through the pipes. Your guys are looking at you through the window. That is stuff that people don’t talk about or they say it and don’t really mean it. But to see the look in Coil’s face when we lose or the look when we win. It is something that we are really lucky to be able to do. I’m signed with Ford through 2007 and I am not quitting. I don’t want to quit. Now I am just doing things a little different.”
