Thanks to the rained out qualifying yesterday the field will line up for the New England 300 according to points. This allows Kyle Petty, who is out of provisionals to be able to make the race in 35th place, without the trauma of having to qualify….

According to GrandPrix.com Alex Wurz may be trying to make a move to Jaguar next year. I have always felt that Wurz was very much a wasted talent in his testing role with McLaren. I don’t think he has had a chance to really show what he can do…this may be it.

Barrichello on pole for British GP

Rubens Barrichello was second out in today’s qualifying for the British Grand Prix after going off in Friday qualifying, making it all the more impressive that he remained on pole. The Williams teammates struggled with under steer and were way off what they hoped would be pole position pace.
Jarno Trulli had one of his best qualifying runs of the season landing second on the grid, followed by Kimi Raikkonen in the McLaren.
