Ok, I’ve mentioned in the past that I think Jimmy Spencer is by far the lowest form of life out there on the Winston Cup circuit today. However, today Jimmy exceeded even my expectations. Apparently he rammed his old nemisis Kurt Busch after the race was over. Big deal, been done before by many a driver. Jimmy then took it to the next level by getting out of his car and punching the shit out of Kurt. Kurt was seen heading for the medical center with a bloody rag on his face…

Team Joest win Grand Prix of Mosport

Frank Biela and Marco Werner drove the Infineon Team Joest Audi R8 to victory in Sunday’s American Le Mans Series Toronto Grand Prix of Mosport, extending their lead in the race for the series’ LMP 900 driving championship and winning for the fourth time.

Andy Wallace and Chris Dyson won the LMP 675 class in the Dyson Racing Lola-MG, finishing second overall, while Scott Maxwell and Gunnar Jeannette finished third overall….

Newman rocks Michigan

Ryan Newman took his 5th Winston Cup victory of the season at Michigan International Speedway this afternoon. Ryan ran the last 52 laps of the race on one tank of gas in yet another fuel milage race. The event saw several fiery crashes that will no doubt continue the recent ongoing debate about fire saftey in stock cars. Points leader Matt Kenseth did what he does best today, ran a steady, quiet race out of the spotlight and out of trouble. He came home 9th and extended his points lead over Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon…

Hornish gets first win of 2003

Sam Hornish finally broke through with the help of his enhanced Chevy horsepower to win at Kentucky Speedway Sunday afternoon. This, along with a second place in Michigan and a 6th place at Gatway put Sam back in the championship hunt. He is now in 5th in the standings. This win also makes Sam’s impending decision about his future even more difficult…or perhaps easier depending on how he is looking at it…

Dixon has to work for lead on Sat

Doug Kalitta breifly sat in the lead position in Saturday qualifying at Brainerd. Larry Dixon and the Miller Lite crew answered Kalitta’s charge with a 4.63 at 321 mph. Gary Scelzi remained in control of the Funny Car ranks while Kurt Johnson broke Brainerds day-old speed record Saturday with a 201.01 mph pass.
