No. 3 back on the track
August 13, 2003
Richard Childress will drive a black No. 3 Chevy Monte Carlo in pre-race activities prior to the Oct. 11 UAW-GM Quality 500 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. The car will carry a special tribute paint scheme that will honor both the late great Dale Earnhardt Sr. and the 14 year relationship between NASCAR and RJ Reynolds. Jeff Gordon’s car will also carry a special paint scheme and participate in the tribute lap…

Briggs Swift Cunningham
August 12, 2003
I have always been aware of who Briggs Cunningham was based upon his notorius Cadillac Le Mans entries in 1950. His passing recently was duly noted in most racing media outlets. The article by Bill Mclauchlan highlights aspects of his career I was never aware of, and found enlightening. Maybe you will be as amazed at all his accomplishments as I was.
Kimi in Slovakia
August 12, 2003
Makes me wish I could remember some of my native tongue and come up with a clever Slovak headline. “Cho tsi robish, hunsute?” Anyone out there who can correct my horrid grammar and spelling and provide a translation will have my eternal gratitude and respect!
Montoya and McLaren
August 12, 2003
All of the points made in the attached article are probably real, with the exception of the conclusion. The best rumors are ones laden with facts that don’t have anything to do with reality! Personally I think Juan would thrive at McLaren and win a title or two.
Tracy the cab driver…..
August 12, 2003
Am I the guy who was hoping to see Paul Tracy in F1? Well, apparently Paul may be applying his famous chrome horn in a series more suited to his style of driving!
Marketing to an excess?
August 12, 2003
I pray that this is not an officially sanctioned marketing ploy by the boys at NASCAR. Someone ought to tell the marketing department and put a quick stop
to it. Imagine being stopped by cops in cars with NASCAR style advertising all over it?
Fan access at Indy
August 12, 2003
At long last someone in the F1 marketing office has realized one way to help popularize FI in the good old US of A. Let the fans near the damn cars! And god forbid, maybe rub elbows with drivers or crew members.

CART cutbacks in ‘04
August 12, 2003
As expected, CART will be severely reviewing next years schedule and cutting back on “non-profitable” races for ‘04. In CARTS definition, what is a profitable race?
If you really want a dose of depression read CART’s 2nd quarter financial statement.
Bernie victim of prank….
August 12, 2003
Never trust a man who says he is the Prime Minister. I would love to hear a tape of this conversation!
Harvick irresponsible?
August 12, 2003
I am getting more than a little annoyed at the fans who think Jeff Gordon can do no wrong, and EVERY incident between him and any other driver is always the other guys fault. What a load of crap! And judging from the cheering in the stands at his last lap crash, I’m not alone!
Read Lynda Bowman’s take on what a criminal Kevin Harvick is for his part in the wreck.
