POMONA, Calif. — A bandaged John Force raced to the top of the Funny Car qualifying order Thursday at the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals at Pomona Raceway.
Tony Schumacher, Greg Anderson and Craig Treble also were the qualifying leaders in their respective pro categories at the $1.7 million race, the final of 23 events in the $50 million NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series.

Indianapolis, Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003 - IRL IndyCar® Series driver Kenny Brack is in good condition after undergoing successful surgcry on his back and right adds Nov. 4 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, said Dr. Henry Bock, director of medical services for the Indy Racing League. Brack had back surgery on Oct. 13, which involved a spinal fusion of the L2, L3 and L4 vertebrae.
