Concord, N.C. - Roush Racing announced today that Cottman Transmission will sponsor Jeff Burton and the No. 9 Ford for four Busch Series races in 2004. The limited schedule includes Darlington (Mar. 21), Fontana (May 2), Dover (Sept. 23) and Atlanta (Oct. 31).
OWRS Makes Proposal To CART

LANSING, Mich. (Dec. 2, 2003) - Open Wheel Racing Series LLC (”OWRS”) today announced that it proposed to Championship Auto Racing Teams, Inc. (OTCBB: CPNT.OB) (”Championship”) that it acquire certain assets of Championship or CART, Inc. OWRS made the proposal during a meeting with representatives of Championship where it became clear that Championship is unlikely to fulfill one or more of the conditions required to close the previously announced merger agreement. The purpose of the proposal is to permit OWRS to continue the CART racing series next year.
Minimal 04 Schedule For DEI #1 Car

DEI has decided to run the #1 Nextel Cup team only in a few special promotion events in 2004. John Andretti will drive the car in the Daytona 500. Apparently Kodak has been ruled out as a sponsor for the #1 car.
On the positive side, DEI/Chance2 will run the full 2004 Busch schedule for Martin Truex, Jr. Truex will also run five to seven Nextel Cup events in preparation for a full time move to Cup in 2005…
