Nextel Ready to Debut

Testing for the 2004 season is ready to begin in January, the first appearance of Nascar on track under the Nextel banner. All of the premier drivers and teams will be on hand for the testing sessions in preparation for the 2004 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series season. More than 20 drivers will be in each session, which is divided by 2003 owner championship points. The car owners who finished in the odd positions in the championship (1, 3, 5, etc.) are scheduled for the Jan. 6-8 session while those who finished in the even positions (2, 4, 6, etc.) are set for the Jan. 13-15 session.

The Dream Is Alive….

..at least untill the cash runs out. No one would like to see Eddie Jordan succeed more than I. He is the epitomy of a racer chasing his dream. Unfortunately, dreams can become nightmares when trying to compete with 1/5 the budget of your opposition. Unless major sponsorship is found soon, the glory of his third place manufacturers finish in 1999 will only be a blip in the history of F1.
