According to sources close to the incident, Smith confronted Gann on the return road regarding an incident where Matt Smith’s helmet was kicked.

Darlington Recap, Bristol Advance

KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge) “I don’t think it (success) hurts my learning curve. I’m learning a lot every weekend. I learned a lot last week at Darlington, so hopefully that carries over to Bristol this weekend. It’s another tough racetrack where you can get in trouble. I don’t think it’s hurt. I think it has put a little more pressure on us because we have run so good early in the season and maybe we need to have a little higher expectations from the outside. I think we still have our same goals - the Raybestos Rookie of the Year and top 15s every weekend and finishing the races and not get in any wrecks.”

March 23, 2004

It looks like Michel Jourdain, left behind in Champ Car after Bobby Rahal defected to the IRL last week, may go to a third car at Newman/Haas Racing. Whining Little Bitch

March 22, 2004

What!? Is Jacques Villeneuve back in the paddock of F1? No? Oh, the OTHER whining little bitch. Pretender to the title of “greatest driver that never was,” Ralf “they never give me enough room” Schumacher. Or as our friend Brian spells it, Schumaker, because that’s how he drives. Like a shoe-maker. And I can remember when making shoes was an honorable profession!

Unsafe At Any Speed?

March 22, 2004

For all you geezers out there like me, I am not talking about the book Ralph Nader wrote about the Chevy Corvair way back in 19 sumthin’ or other. We now have a new NASCAR controversy over slow cars on the track. Take Andy Hillenberg as an example. Cruising along, above the minimum speed set by NASCAR prior to the race. Impatient Tony “The Tiger” Stewart applies the chrome horn and spins him out in front of Jeff “The Whiner” Gordon. Now its Andy’s fault. Andy is doing only what NASCAR wants, filling the field with 43 cars.

Hey Jeff, be careful what you wish for, next race they just may bring back “Mr. Excitement” and double zero Buckshot himself to brighten up your race day.
