Old ‘N Bold Can Still Get It Done!
April 21, 2004
Yeah, I know what your thinking. Whats the big deal about Rusty finally ending his drought and winning a race? Lets wait and see how long before he does it again, right? Well, the big deal is that the “Geezers” still got what it takes. And my money is on the line that says Rusty will qualify for the playoffs. Now all’s we’ve got to do is get Mark Martin, Dale Jarret, and Ricky Rudd some wins and it will truly be an interesting playoff format. Vets against the brats. I’m tired of calling them young guns.
The Next Italian Ferrari Driver?
April 21, 2004
Fisichella? No. Badoer? No. Trulli? No. How about Valentino Rossi? The motorcycle maestro may have a future at Ferrari based on the “secret” test and leaked reports of his times today at Fiorano. This much is certain; having Rossi in F1 would be a breath of fresh air. His antics and comments would relegate the reputation of Eddie Ervine to the status of Kimi Raikkonen’s personality; non existent.

Along Came A Spider…

…Bernie’s his name, with a smile ever wider. The rights to British GP in Bernie’s hands are thought of as a saving grace for the aging and tired Silverstone event. Are you people dreaming? Bernie wouldn’t hesitate a nanosecond to relocate to a more profitable location in Great Britain, or heaven forbid, export the date to another country. He does have the history of that, doesn’t he? Watch your event this year England, if not boycotted, it may be your last!
More Senna Talk
April 20, 2004
With the approach of a San Marino race weekend that will mark 10 years since F1 legend Ayrton Senna lost his life, there have been several F1 personalities and experts weighing in and giving their opinions on who Senna was, what he thought, his life and times, and what caused the 3-time world champion’s fatal crash. Now, Senna’s teammate at the time he died, Damon Hill (looking more like the late George Harrison every day), is presenting an option that is no doubt less than acceptable to Senna’s many fans: driver error.

RUSTY WALLACE (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge) — Breaks 105-race losing streak with 55th career victory. Gives Dodge its first victory of the season. Wallace moves to eighth in series standings.
“It’s been so long, and we’ve been so close. The fans have been behind me for so long, and this one is for them. We finally got this Miller Lite Dodge in victory lane like it deserves to be. We’ve been running great. I want to thank Larry Carter (crew chief) and my entire Miller Lite racing team. The engine was good. The brakes worked good. I had a great time. I’m going to go home and have a cold Miller Lite and think about it. That’s pretty cool.
