To say that Dario Franchitti has had a tough go of the IRL is an understatement. A recreational motorcycle accident during the 2003 season sidelined him for all but 3 races in 2003. After his brief comeback he elected to have additional surgery to correct the injury permanently, but his season was over. His patience was rewarded today as he took his first IRL victory at The Milwaukee Mile.

KENT, Wash. - John Force earned his 112th career NHRA Funny Car victory Sunday during the CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Nationals at Pacific Raceways.
Tony Schumacher (Top Fuel) and Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) also earned victories in their respective categories at the $1.4 million NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series event.

Paul Tracy dominated the Vancouver Molson Indy today. This is his second straight win in Vancouver and he didn’t make contact with anyone in order to get it. The RuSPORT teammates of Michel Jourdain Jr. and A.J. Allmendinger had a banner day for their team finishing first and second respectively.
Schumacher Wins German Grand Prix, “Next Generation” Joins Him on Podium

Even with a case of the flu, it was another awe inspiring run for God (Michael Schumacher) today on his way to his 81st win. The All Powerful One was joined on the podium by two of the young men who will no doubt dominate the series once God decides to retire; BAR’s Jenson Button (2nd place) and Renault’s Fernando Alonso (3rd place).

Wallace Wins Pole for Grand Prix of Portland

PORTLAND, OR - Andy Wallace won his first American Le Mans Series pole position since 1999 when he drove the Dyson Racing Lola EX257-AER/MG to the pole Saturday for Sunday’s Grand Prix of Portland at Portland International Raceway.
Forsythe on Front Row in Vancouver

Paul Tracy returned to form Saturday in Vancouver as he took pole and his Forsythe Racing teammate Rodolfo Lavin, with a quick second lap, pushed his way onto the front row. Tracy’s pole time (1 minute, 00.87 seconds) was set on Friday and went unchallenged Saturday.
