Since Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s fiery wreck in the Sonoma ALMS event last weekend DEI team representatives have sustained that he would definitely be racing his usual Budweiser mount at this weekends race in New Hampshire. However, Dale hasn’t talked to the press or even posted a personal entry on his web site since the crash last Sunday and skeptics are beginning to doubt that he’ll run this weekend.

Jeff Green Tops After Indy Tests Conclude

Jeff Green ended over a combined total of 15,000 miles of testing with the top reported lap time at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Green beat out the other 37 drivers who tested NEXTEL Cup cars at Indy with a best reported lap in the month of July of 181.641 mph. Green set his time on July 7 but testing only concluded on July 21.

NHRA ledged and Top Fuel team owner Joe Amato announced today that Top Alcohol Dragster driver Morgan Lucas will be the new pilot of his dragster. Morgan replaces Darrell Russell who was tragically killed in the Amato dragster at Gateway Dragway on June 27th.

Kenny Wallace headed the charts according to the times released from Monday’s testing sessions at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Wallace drove a car owned by Michael Waltrip to a best unofficial lap of 50.2502 sec/179.104 mph.
