Schumacher Unhurt After Big Testing Crash

Newly crowned F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher escaped unhurt yesterday from a 186mph testing crash at Monza. The cause is thought to be a tire failure. Schumacher got out of the car and laid down in the grass as a precaution, but did not need medical attention. He flew home to Switzerland after the test session.
St. Petersburg Road Race Added to 2005 IRL Schedule

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Racing League’s initiative to enhance its IRL IndyCar Series schedule with the addition of road/street-style events continued today with the addition of St. Petersburg, Fla., to the 2005 schedule.
Hurricane Postpones First Road Course Test

Due to the fact that Hurricane Frances is forecasted to tear through Florida Thursday and Friday, the IRL has postponed a test session at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The test was going to be the first outing for IRL cars in road course trim. The goal was test the new road racing components for next years race schedule that contains two road course events.
