Rubens Barrichello locked in second place in the drivers championship today by winning the Inaugural Chinese Grand Prix at the brand new Shanghai International Circuit. Jenson Button extended BAR’s lead over Renault for second in the constructors championship by coming in second. McLaren’s Kimi Raikkonen finished in third. This was only the second race the Finn has managed to complete in five races showing that when he has the car to do well…he can.

Rubens Barrichello took his third pole position of the 2004 for the inaugural Chinese Grand Prix. Kimi Raikkonen will follow him off in second and BAR’s Jenson Button will start third. In a rare treat, Michael Schumacher inexplicably spun out on his qualifying lap and will start from second-to-last position on the grid. It will be fun to watch the maestro work up through the field to achieve what will no doubt be another fabulous Ferrari 1-2 finish.

ENNIS, Texas - John Force raced to the qualifying lead in Funny Car Friday at the O’Reilly Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec at the Texas Motorplex.
Doug Kalitta and Jeg Coughlin also were qualifying leaders in their categories at the $1.7 million race, the 19th of 23 events in the $50 million NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series.
