Fontana, CA – Kyle Busch, age 19 and Brian Vickers, age 21 combined to set a record in qualifying at California Speedway. Busch became the series’ youngest pole winner and fellow Hendrick driver Vickers will join him on the front row to make an average age of 20 for the front row. Not content with setting a new low age record, the rookie driver also set a new track record low lap time of 38.248 sec/188.245 mph.
