Walker Racing Announces Two Entries For 2005 Season

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Walker Racing announces its plans to compete for the full 2005 Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford season, expanding to a two-car Lola lineup starting at the first event in Long Beach California on 10th of April. Walker Racing enters its fifteenth season and is not only changing to the Lola chassis, but is also increasing its effort to become a two car team again after running a single car in 2004.

Crew Chiefs Lose Big After Las Vegas

Several crew chiefs, most notably Jimmie Johnson’s, have been fined and suspended following post-race and pre-race technical inspections at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Chad Knaus, crew chief for Johnson, was fined $35,000 and suspended for two races after the roofline of Johnson’s winning Chevy proved too low following the race. Johnson lost 25 points, dropping him to second place and car owner Jeff Gordon lost 25 owner points for the infraction.
