Whit Bazemore and the Matco Tools Funny Car has been atrocious lately. In the last four races Bazemore has tumbled from the top of the points standings to seventh. Adding to the frustration, Bazemore failed to qualify for the race in Chicago this past weekend; marking the first time he has failed to qualify since 2003. Apparently the fall guy for all this losing is the crew chief, Lee Beard.

Welcome race fans or should I say welcome back? Yes for a while the sports car page went away, although from what I hear most of you didn’t notice. Well I did. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Scott and I am a road racing/sports car racing/edurance racing enthusiast. At least that’s what I am part of the time. The rest of the time I am busy serving in the USAF, so you’ll forgive me if I don’t keep my blog entries on a regular schedule but I shall do my best. I know there has to be a few other people out there enjoying Fastmachines.com who also enjoy racecars that turn right as well as left while employing human powered shifting as more than just a means of getting in and out of the pits.
So that being said I hope to bring my own opinions and experience (amateur racing) to the web. Well that being said - lets go racing!
