CARLSBAD, Calif. - Ron Capps, who drives the Brut Dodge Stratus Funny Car for Don Schumacher Racing in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series and will do so this weekend at the CARQUEST NHRA Nationals at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill., will make a side trip to Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on Wednesday, June 8, to run the Nextel Prelude to the Dream.

Greg Biffle’s No. 16 Ford went into the lead about 350 laps left in the MBNA RacePoints 400 Sunday at Dover Downs and never looked back. Biffle took his fourth win of the 2005 season, besting rookie hot shoe Kyle Busch and retiring veteran Mark Martin.
Tracy Dominates Milwaukee Mile

Despite Champ Cars best efforts to create a battle towards the end of the Time Warner Cable Road Runner 225 at the Milwaukee Mile today, A.J. Allmendinger had nothing for the “salty old sea dog” Paul Tracy. Allmendinger came in second to Tracy followed by Oriol Servia who is subbing for the injured Bruno Junqueira, in third place.

This is too good to be true. 1996 Champ Car series champ Jimmy Vasser will make his 200th Champ Car start in proper style - from pole position. He took the pole for today’s Time Warner Cable Road Runner 225 on the Milwaukee Mile with a lap of 21.081 (283.622km/h). This was the first pole for PKV racing in its over two-year history.
Rain Forces Dover Qualifying Cancellation

Weather ruled qualifying Friday at Dover Downs International Speedway, raining out the session and forcing NASCAR to set the starting lineup by owner points. Jimmie Johnson will start from pole, flanked by Greg Biffle. Elliott Sadler, Ryan Newman and Jeff Gordon will complete the top five at the start of Sunday’s race.

Ypsilanti, Mich. - Zantrex-3 Top Fuel dragster driver and native Australian “Aussie Dave” Grubnic, 42, got an emotional and historic first NHRA national event win of his 11-year career Sunday in Topeka, Kans. The perpetually enthusiastic fan-favorite became the first non-North American to win an NHRA Top Fuel event. Now third-place holder in Top Fuel championship points Grubnic took a few minutes in this Q&A session to reflect on “the win” and the events that have transpired in the past few days.
Servia In for Junqueira At Milwaukee

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. - Oriol Servia has been named to replace the injured Bruno Junqueira in the No. 2 PacifiCare entry for Newman/Haas Racing at this weekend’s Time Warner Cable Road Runner 225 at the legendary Milwaukee Mile. Junqueira was injured after contact with a lapped car during Sunday ’s Indianapolis 500 and sustained a fracture to his T-12 and L-1 vertebra which were repaired on Monday by Dr. Terry Trammell.
