Joining Busch on the front row at Sunday’s green flag will be Kasey Kahne, with Ryan Newman, Busch’s teammate at Penske Racing South, starting inside the second row. Greg Biffle will start at the rear of the field after crashing in the esses on his qualifying run.

Kubica DQ’ed, Villeneuve Leaves BMW Sauber

In a pair of press releases, BMW Sauber F1 Team announced that Robert Kubica’s Grand Prix debut was spoiled by wearing away too much rubber off his intermediate tires. The wear resulted in the young Polish driver’s car weighing just two kilograms under the mandated minimum. A second release announces that effective immediately, Jacques Villeneuve and the team will part company. Kubica replaced Villeneuve in the Hungarian GP after vague complaints by the Canadian concerning headaches following a heavy crash in the previous race.
