So much for all the hype referencing Ferrari domination and McLaren inadequacies to win the Malaysian Grand Prix. With a McLaren 1-2 finish it’s safe to say the game’s afoot, and the racing will only get better as the season unfolds.

Will Power blew away the field, and claimed the pole for tomorrow’s Champ Car World Series Vegas Grand Prix. Sebastian Bourdais struggled, and qualified second to last in the 17 car field, which will make for a very interesting race tomorrow.

Bourdais Tops Vegas GP Practice 1

Sebastian Bourdais took up right where he left off last year by posting the fast time of the morning in Las Vegas. But Paul Tracy and Justin Wilson are clicking at his heels, and Simon Pagenaud is looking very strong as well. Qualifying session 1 is at 5:20 ET this afternoon.

Raphael Matos was fastest in this morning’s Atlantics practice in Las Vegas. Franck Perera was second quickest, and Hinch (James Hinchcliff) rounded out the top three.
