MONT-TREMBLANT, QUEBEC, CANADA (June 30, 2007) - As dark grey clouds loomed over the mountainous Le Circuit in Mont-Tremblant, the fans in attendance were eagerly anticipating an exciting qualifying session with the possibility of rain while the drivers and teams in the Champ Car World Series were scratching heads and hoping they could plan the right strategy to capture the front row starting spot and a championship point.

Edmonton, June 27, 2007 - “This is a great day for Edmonton. Together with Rexall we are putting on a world-class event for the people of this city and province, as well as millions of racing fans around the world.”
With those words Jim Haskins, President of the Grand Prix of Edmonton, announced today that it has signed Rexall/Katz Group, Canada’s largest drug store network of companies, as this year’s lead sponsor for the premier motorsport race in the city and the province.

As sarcastic as I can be at times in this space and as much as I like to rib, I do in fact have nothing but complete respect and admiration for the ICS drivers. ESPECIALLY Sam Hornish, Jr., who I already consider to be a legend and have always considered a true class act. But am I the only one wondering just what’s UP with the guy lately?
