Increasing Nitro To 90% A Good Call

In a letter delivered to NHRA professional teams at the O’Reilly NHRA Mid-South Nationals, the NHRA has said it will increase the maximum allowable percentage of nitromethane to be used in Top Fuel and Funny Car from 85% to 90% starting in 2008. This is a good decision by the NHRA and should provide positive results for not only race fans but the race teams as well.

The NHRA has always been about equality and a level playing field no matter the racer’s race, religion, creed, national origin and especially gender. The NHRA leads the way in the motorsports world with more women (past or present) competing against men in the sport. Although Rhonda Hartman-Smith is not currently racing on the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing circuit her impact and popularity is still apparent today. We were able to track down Rhonda Hartman-Smith and got the chance to see what she has been up to these days.
