Justin Wilson Captures his First Win of the Season at the Bavaria Champ Car Grand Prix in Holland
September 3, 2007
September 2, 2007, Assen, Holland - Great strategy, flawless pit work and a fine drive from Justin allowed him to claim his first victory and fourth podium finish of the 2007 Champ Car season. The result was all the more impressive considering the roller coaster ride of a weekend that Wilson and his #9/CDW/RuSPORT team had been through; the provisional pole on Friday, a perplexing lack of pace in final qualifying on Saturday and a gearbox problem which parked the car for the Sunday morning, pre-race warm-up. Winning in front of more than 61,000 crazed Dutch race fans at the TT Circuit Assen in Holland made his victory extra special.
