A1 Team USA’s Jonathan Summerton Challenges the World’s Best Young Guns
A1GP’s Jonathan Summerton, still not out of his teens, is back at the wheel of the A1 Team USA Lola/Zytec racecar.
After equalling the American team’s best-ever finish (second place) at last spring’s A1GP Mexico City the Floridian hotshoe has taken over from IndyCar’s Buddy Rice.

The demands of time and travel have left him weary and ready for some holiday cheer.
“This was my first time traveling back home (to Kissimmee, Florida) from the race in Malaysia (November 24th),” he said. “I’m waking at one or two AM and going to bed in mid-afternoon. I’m still not back on Florida time.”
The nineteen year-old faces the world’s best young competition in Zhuhai, China in two weeks as the fourth round of racing for the World Cup of Motorsport moves to the Far East before a Christmas break.
