John Davison first noticed racing in the early 60's when he discovered Hot Rod magazine. The first race he ever saw in person was on the old dirt track at Hillsborough, NC. His first superspeedway race was the 1964 Dixie 400 at Atlanta International Raceway.

A decade later, he was asked to help work a corner at an SCCA race at Virginia International Raceway. From that weekend on, John has been an 'insider' in an array of racing environments, both as a track worker and a journalist. From Silverstone and Donington to Watkins Glen and Sebring, John has worked the Press Boxes at NASCAR races, drag races, as well as a Formula One Grand Prix.

After years of volunteer and free-lance work, Speedvision.com recruited him to work in their Charlotte, NC news bureau office. Working on Speedvision.com, John honed and combined his journalistic skills with his lifelong passion for computers, technology, and the internet.

When Speedvision was bought out and the Charlotte bureau closed, John returned to technology, where he recently completed a contract with IBM. John continues to pursue freelance motorsports journalism as well as his corner working hobby.
