Jory Elliott

Jory Elliott is the son of an accomplished Canadian drag racer. His exposure to the sport began at a very young age and continued at a torrid pace until he was 13 years old. Spending his summers travelling throughout Eastern North America to match races and NHRA national events, Jory along with his father and the crew spent their entire summers bunking up in hotels and even sleeping on the floor of their crew cab. "Anything to go drag racing" was the motto of the time.

Over those thirteen years Jory stood by his father as he became the only Canadian to be licensed and compete in a jet turbine powered funny car and the only Canadian to ever hold an NHRA certified world speed record in the top alcohol funny car class. Jory was also exposed to the week to week nature of drag racing's bracket series during the period that his father was the track announcer at Dragway Park in Cayuga, Ontario. Topping it all off, he witnessed his father competing on the NHRA tour in 1993 behind the wheel, of what is still to this day one of only a select few Canadian owned, driven and crewed fuel funny car teams to qualify at the prestigious U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis.

Jory has managed to keep in touch with his first true love, drag racing, while continuing on to earn his honour's diploma in Business Studies at Sir Sandford Fleming College in Peterborough, Ontario. Currently a resident of London, Ontario, Canada he hopes to put his past experience with drag racing and contemporary business knowledge to good use within the realm of drag racing.
