Sheila freely confesses that she is a new motorsports enthusiast. An 80’s movie about Shirley Muldowney piqued her interest in NHRA, but the first time she personally heard a Top Fuel engine make that incredibly loud "WHAP!" sound during pit testing at Gatornationals, she was totally hooked.A freelance writer and a Texas gal, she’s thrilled to be part of the Fast Machines crew and indulge her sportswriter fantasies by scribbling frequently about NHRA/IHRA drag racing events, plus NASCAR. During her almost 23 years in the U.S. Navy, she spent a lot of time in shipboard engineering departments, so she appreciates fine machinery, the folks who love it and that "need for speed."
Her favorite item on her minivan is a Gatornationals Press sticker in the front window.
