Hornish crew chief moves on

Former Sam Hornish crew chief Kevin Blanch was officially named to a post with the Indy Racing League yesterday. Blanch will serve as Technical Manager for the IRL and oversee all the league’s tech inspectors. I would imagine that this is another harsh blow to the Panther Racing squad, with their Chevy engines performing miserably this year, and buzz of star driver Hornish moving to a new team or series in the next year or two.
