The right place is Cancun Mexico. The right time is 2006. The right guy we’re discussing is Mexican Champ Car driver Mario Dominguez.

With his current Champ Car contract set to expire at the end of the 2005 season, all the planets seem to be in proper alignment for Mario Dominguez to take a drivers seat for the Midland F1 team in 2006. A Mexican national with an Italian first name and a new F1 race in Cancun for 2006. And he will more than likely bring Herdez sponsorship dollars with him.
What more could a start up team ask for? Yeah, wins, but we know better than to ask for that, don’t we? Even with Michael Schumacher in the seat, could a start up team win a race? Or even get a podium?
