Tracy’s bad blood with CART
July 27, 2003
I knew Paul Tracy and CART were butting heads a lot, especially when they took the provisional pole away from him this weekend. However I did not know they fined him $15,000 for wear short pants to a press conference!!! …
Tracy on pole
July 27, 2003
Paul Tracy apparently did not let the CART sanction from Friday provisional pole qualifying bother him. He will be starting from pole at todays Molson’ Indy Vancouver event. Bruno Junqueira starts (as allways, it seems) from second.
Is it just my perception, or is Bruno the Ralf Schumacher of Cart? He doesn’t seem able to pass the race leader or apply any pressure to the leader, especially when it’s Tracy. I think Paul has gotten to his head.
Tracy spanking
July 26, 2003
The ever interesting Paul Tracy has managed to fire up his opponents yet again by blocking during the first round of Molson Indycar Vancouver qualifying. CART officials have agreed with the allegations and disqulified his fastest lap and giving provisional pole to Bruno Junquira. Bruno trails Paul by 14 points and now gains a point for pole. I sure hope Paul doesn’t loose the title by a point this year to anyone. There isn’t enough Molson’s in Canada to drown out that misery!

The Miami cart event this September has picked up Sportsbook.com as a presenting sponsor. Let’s see, I wonder what are the odds are of Chris pook pulling CART’s fat out of the fire before the end of next year? Think they have a line on that?!

CART’s demise & Pook’s future?
July 19, 2003
Call me a skeptic, but if Chris Pook is in Silverstone this weekend to talk up another F1 race in San Francisco with Bernie, I would say CART is dead. Chris is obviously planning his future without CART!

So far so good

AutoWeek’s J.P. Vettraino has a point…the CART season hasn’t been as bad as we thought it would be. After all, it is amazing that there has been a season at all given the situation the series has found itself in for the past two to three years. But there is still plenty of time for CART to shoot itself in the foot…
