Another great headline…

More whining from Jacques Villeneuve. Can this guy really be this awful? Perhaps the media is making him out to be the bad guy for some reason? Never once has this ding dong ever blamed a single one of his problems on himself.
British GP in trouble…still
June 19, 2003
Bernie Ecclestone has blasted the way the British Racing Drivers’ Club (owners of the Silverstone race track) has spent money invested by the FIA and Octagon (the company that holds the rights to the British GP) for improvements to the legendary F1 race venue. Essentially he feels that they spent

New McLaren fails FIA crash testing
June 18, 2003
Aside from Alex Wurz wrecking heavily in the new McLaren MP4/18, the car has also failed mandatory FIA crash testing. It will not be able to compete until it passes. This is one of the longest car release processes I have ever seen.
Demoting David
June 18, 2003
Poor David Coulthard will never win a championship. There is already talk of team orders at McLaren in support of Kimi’s championship efforts.
Schumi’s gripe
June 18, 2003
I guess what he is saying makes a lot of sense, but I just can’t stand to hear someone as unbelievably lucky (to be blessed with his skill, his team, etc) as Michael Schumacher griping about ANYTHING.
“If you imagine that one (Michael) wins one race and the other (Kimi) wins four races and there’s only three points difference you think whether that’s right or wrong. I’m probably not so pleased with it.”
Yoong gets new ride

Dear God, why would anyone hire this boy….well…other than the millions of dollars that come with him I guess….yeah…that will do it.

Eddie & the Suit

Eddie Jordan must be crackers if the basis of his law suit is as reported herin. He probably was hoping for a quick out of court settlement and picking a few quid.
Elegance or chicanery?
June 17, 2003
There are rumors abounding that one possible reason for El Supremo buying into Minardi is to have an ear at any GPWC discussions and strategy sessions concerning the break away league in 2008. When your a billionaire six million for information concerning your survivial is cheap!
Frank impressed by Jeff’s drive
June 17, 2003
Frank Williams was reportedly highly impressed with Jeff Gordon’s skills in last weeks “Tradn’ Paint” car swap with Williams’ Juan Pablo Montoya. However, Sir Frank also copped out by stating that they couldn’t afford Jeff even if he wanted to come over to F1. I have gotten the “you are so great at what you do but we could never afford you” line before. It reads to me like “I really don’t think you are great at what you do but I will say it and then get out of offering you a job by telling you we can’t afford you.” I mean come on! An F1 team not able to pay a NASCAR driver’s salary!? PLEASE!
