Is Pollock serious!?

June 16, 2003

Jacques Villeneuve’s manager Craig Pollock is quoted as having said “I think it would be the greatest shame for Formula One to lose a personality such as Jacques.” Yeah, God knows it is always a shame to lose a whiny, disgruntled has-been who can’t get it done. What a shame….

Frank loves Juan

June 16, 2003

Now this is the type of favoritism I love to see. Frank loves Montoya. I think he is right though, I think Juan would have had a better run at MS. But hey, it is Juan’s fault for spinning out on lap 2! In any case, Ralf’s goose is cooked at Williams…

Stoddart’s Minardi noise - Bernie invests

June 15, 2003

I think every race series needs great teams, up and comers, and back markers. I don’t want to see an old standby like Minardi go the way of Tyrell. However, I am a capitalist and I have to agree with Ron Dennis’ comments at the recent press conference regarding the F1 “Fighting Fund.” Why should the top teams be made to pay for the inadequacy of the back markers? What’s next? Is the DOJ going to rule Ferrari a “monopoly?” ;)

However, there is nothing to worry about since Bernie Ecclestone has stepped in and saved the day by throwing $4 million of his own money at Stoddart’s struggling team. It sounds to me like some pocket change from a very weathly man who was sick of listening to Paul bitch about his problems.

But of course, Frank is not concerned.

Schumacher on pole, but not the one you’d expect. I guess BMW power is still better than Ferrari power!

Jacques the Pathetic

June 14, 2003

Is this the same Jacque that I have known and despised? No, it is the Jacque looking for future employment trying to sound like a reasonable guy. A 24 carat phoney!!
