Graham Rahal made history on Sunday afternoon by becoming the youngest driver to win an Indy Car series race. The youngster overcame an early incident with Will Power, and ran away from Helio Castroneves on a late race restart to come away with the victory.

Sam Schmidt Motorsports’ Richard Antinucci punted teammate Ana Beatriz out of the lead on a late race restart to win his third race of the last six. He was penalized ten championship points post-race for ‘avoidable contact’ by the race stewards.

Tony Kanaan qualified for the pole position, and Will Power qualified along side on the front row for the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. You read that right, former Champ Car team, KV Racing put Will Power in the front row in only their their second race in the Indy Car series. Just Wilson, of Newman/Haas/Lanigan racing, another former Champ Car team, qualified third. Today’s session also served as the debut of Indy Car’s new qualifying format for road courses and proved to be very exciting.
