Bridgestone To Sponsor Pole Award

Bridgestone is back with Champ Car for 2005 and will be giving $10,000 to the pole winner at every event.

While it comes as no big suprise that Bridgestone is back with Champ Car in 2005 as the official tire supplier, their additional pole-award is another reason for Champ Car fans to put a set of Bridgestones on your car next time you need them. The $10,000 pole-award amount is not a bit low for a top-tier racing series, but I guess Champ Car has to prove itself with sponsors as a top-tier series. Hopefully 2005 will show that Champ Car is back and is on its way up again.
