New Champ Car Chassis Exceeds FIA and Champ Car Testing Requirements

The Panoz DP01 passes with flying colors as testing on the new chassis begins this week.


Gordon Kirby reports on Champcar.ws that the new Panoz DP01 chassis has undergone crash testing, and passed with flying colors.

The beautiful DP01 (click to view photo) will be tested for the first time ever by Roberto Moreno at Sebring Raceway.

    With reunification a dim prospect let’s hope that this chassis can provide quality racing for the CC field. I have to admit to finding many of the CC races this year a bit dull, CC really needs a shot in the arm.

    The way Paul Tracy has been driving of late they should have given the crash testing to him. If Mikey can’t break it, nobody can!
