BLOGGERS WANTED!
Have your voice heard.
Hone your writing skills.
Get in touch with the racing community.
Share your passion with other like-minded racing fans.
Are you a blogger who loves racing? Or maybe a racing fan who has a burning desire to have your opinions about your favorite sport heard? Well, have we got the perfect soap box for you! FastMachines.com is the ultimate motorsports weblog. A place for fans of many forms of racing to get the latest news, views and opinions, as well as share their own thoughts about their favorite drivers, teams and racing series. We're looking for contributors. Drop us a note and tell us a little bit about yourself and what you would like to blog about and we'll set you up. Links to your site/blog/online portfolio would be great too. Also, let us know if you have any questions about the site and how it works.
Right now our major need is for people who follow any of these series closely:
Is your favorite series not covered on the site currently? Do you want us to create a section of the site for it? Just because it's not here now doesn't mean we don't want it to be. We love all forms of motorsport. We wish we had the time and man power to cover motorcycle racing and boat racing too...interested? Let's talk.
Not sure what a weblog (or "blog" for short) is?
A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger." Blogs are typically updated daily using software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain the blog. Postings on a blog are almost always arranged in chronological order with the most recent additions featured most prominently. (source: www.matisse.net/files/glossary.html)These online journals known as blogs started out as people's personal diaries, but we've taken the format and focused it on our passion: motorsports. Here are a couple of articles about how this "blogging" stuff is really coming of age...
What are we looking for in a blogger?
In no particular order...
- Opinions...lots of them
- A severe web surfing addiction
- The ability and passion for rooting out even the most obscure news on your favorite racing series
- The desire to share the latest news with our audience
- The ability to put sentences together (in English) well enough to get a point across
- Computer ability decent enough to log into our publishing system and post an entry (we'll show you how...it's easy)
The ideal blogger is anyone with a passion for the subject matter at hand - motorsports. This includes but is not limited to: general fans, journalism students, aspiring sports writers, people who work in some form of racing, people looking to promote some form of racing....the list goes on and on. What do you want to add to the fabric of racing news, commentary and banter that exists out there on the net?
Drop us a line either by emailing Josh directly or by using our online contact form and we'll set you up with a login. We hope to be blogging with you soon!
Thanks,
The FastMachines Crew
