Being the lazy guy I am I copied the USA Today report for my entry.

Not sure who the writer is for the paper but he is slightly lost.

He described Kimi’s tire as being “bent.”

I’m guessing he is useing the new “Gumby compound.”

He drove a square right front for the last 20 laps before the suspension failed on the last lap, and the wheel tether barely prevented the wheel assembly from impacting Kimi on the head. A few more inches, and the big story today would have been about the tragic fatal accident at Nurburgring today. After seeing that wheel assemply slam around right up in Kimi’s face, I’ve had enough of the one tire rule.

And how about the sad sight of Bar Honda cars limping along on two race old engines when the field has fresh motors? Great formula, Max, keep up the good work!

Montoya should go back to the minor leagues: CART or IRL before he kills somebody.

Either a JV or Ralfie fan. The non-sequitor complaining is a dead giveaway.

Really bold but ultimately stupid move by JV! Totally depressing for Peter Sauber. But I feel for Kimi… I guess Mclaren took a gamble and risked a lot but failed. This year, we’ve seen Alonso prove that he can take Schumi’s crown. He can attack, defend (amazing drive at San Marino), stay calm when pressured and hold back. Alonso saw an opportunity to push and pressure the limping Mclaren and he took it. Alonso is on fire! I do hope he keeps the fire going the whole season. Go Alonso Go Renault!!!

Unless Renault can step up their aero-engine improvements McLaren would appear to be the class of the field for now. The advantages are also inherent to the tracks they race at and temperatures. I’m sure things will change over the next few races yet again, especially with the cockamamie one tire rule.

While I am a McLaren fan, I wouldn’t mind seeing Renault take it all, with the exception of having to watch Flavio’s head swell even larger! Fernando does seem to be the total package driving wise and also seems to keep his ego relatively in check compared to guys liker RS, JV and JPM. Over all it’s hard to root against them.

It was the European GP even though it was in Germany. Anyway, I, like George, am a McLaren fan and more than that, a Kimi fan, brutal. Also, I wouldn’t mind seeing Renault take it all. I really wouldn’t mind if Ferrari and Michael pulled it together, just as long as it’s close. Just as long as the races stay exciting.
I do think that it is the tire rule that has kept Ferrari down. Bridgestone’s lack of mileage compared to Michelin’s, has them conservative or on harder compounds. I think Bridgestone will catch up but to late to make a run for the championship.
