Is There Life At Super Aguri After All?

With the entire team enroute to Barcelona for this weekend’s Spanish GP, will Super Aguri find their buyer?

Or is Honda just pumping cash to keep any prospective buyer’s interest keen? Honda has stated the team will not race in Barcelona without a written commitment to purchase from any potential buyer. Who that could be is highly speculative, as Paul Stoddardt has openly stated he’ll be back in F1, possibly before the end of this year. I would think Stoddardt would be more interested in the Toro Rosso purchase than SA, just from an emotional perspective. But a great deal from Honda would wipe out that sentimentality pretty quickly, I’d guess.

The prospects for SA still look bleak, but I can’t see Honda pulling the plug without a deal to sell. It would take whatever residual value the team may have to zero.
