No Trust In Jordans Future
Written by George Katinger · February 8, 2004
Is it me, or is this entire driver-owner situation at Jordan seem a bit off-kilter to everyone else? We have a team owner who needs a driver with sponsor dollars (Eddie Jordan), and a driver with sponsor dollars (Verstappen) who needs a ride, and these two knuckle heads can’t agree on a contract? I would love to know the particulars of which side couldn’t come to terms. At age 31, Jos must realize that his options to drive F1 are getting slimmer every year, and he still balks at coming to terms with Jordan. I just don’t get it…

For what its worth. Why would Trust cough up the same bucks as B&H and only get a logo compared with virtually having the whole car? They liked being right up there last year with Minardi but EJ couldn’t face losing the fag money. Latest name is one Giorgio Pantano, so the theory about B&H wanting a UK driver is blown. Eddie is certainly playing a close hand this year and I suspect he’s got some plan up his sleeve.
