Promises, Promises!!!

Jacques “Le Bebe” Villeneuve has stated that he would rather quit then take a seat in the CART series. Guess what Jacques, so would 99% of the rest of the racing community! His manager, Craig Pollock, owns a CART team, and I would give odds that even HE would prefer any driver besides him. In the history of motor sports, has there ever been a bigger whiner? I mean besides Nigel Mansell.

Ego and pride are the only reasons why Jacques asked to be released from the last race of his 3 year 50 million dollar racing contract. My only hope is that Frank Williams signs “The Baby” to drive next year and allows Juan to get to McLaren a year ahead of schedule and get a real team behind him. Especially a team that has mastered pit stops. Is Frank that gullible? Not likely. Frank had a real good read of his egocentric personalty the year he won the championship and was probably glad to see him go.
