Suzuka: More On Kimi’s Victory And Drive to The Podium

Written by George Katinger · October 9, 2005

I have been quick on the keyboard to criticize my Teams principle spokesmen, Ron Dennis and Norbert Haug, over their seemingly graceless comments. With Raikkonen’s phenominal drive today, maybe the pair will let up, at least until the Shanghai race in one weeks time.

It’s childish I know, but I really do hope Renault can take out the constructors title in China. For no other reason than to burst this McLaren “deserved” victory PR form Ron Dennis.

Regarding his “driver with the most wins & no World Championship,it’s unheard of” comments. Has he ever heard of Stirling Moss? Ron’s revisionist take on F1 history, including that of his own team, never fails to astound me.Notwithstanding his sanctimonious attitude when McLaren have their act together & produce the best car on the grid.

i’m with peterg on this one. just see how gracious briatore was, and compare that to old fart ron dennis - who can’t seem to stop complaining even though his guys are doing a great job. it’s time for ron to think about the sport and the fans, rather than about his own team.

It gets worse!! Ron is now blaming the rain in Melbourne & has a creative twist on Mercedes engine reliability.

We already know how much these guys and owners keep their nose in the air, all beliveing they are the crem de la crem in the driver world and most (drivers)deserve it. But, can’t they be happy for each other’s sucess on the track and the skill it takes to be so compedative. F1 should loosen the grip on these guys and the ability of the media to gain access to them. After all it is the fan base that keeps them going, is it not? Only one of them will even break a smile during an interview, Juan Pablo!

Got something to say?
