Jonathan Summerton Scores Another A1GP Podium at Brands Hatch Sprint Race
A1 Team USA accomplished its goal of moving into the top-ten teams contesting the 2007-08 A1GP World Cup of Motorsport with Jonathan Summerton’s second-place finish at Brands Hatch on Sunday (May 4th).
A1 Team Great Britain’s Robbie Kerr won the Sprint Race from pole ahead of Summerton. Ireland’s Adam Carroll was third.

Switzerland’s Neel Jani finished the Sprint Race in fourth, enough to clinch the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport title. A1 Team New Zealand, which had sought to challenge for the Cup with a strong finish at Brands now finds itself looking to stay ahead of the charging Brits, who aim to leapfrog the Kiwis into second place in the standings with this afternoon’s Feature Race.
