Kissimmee, Florida Native Leads from Lights to Flag in China
A1 Team USA’s Jonathan Summerton capped off a weekend of firsts for the American team by winning the Feature race at A1GP Shanghai on Sunday (April 13th).
Summerton earned a spot on the front row to start the race, a first for A1 Team USA, in Saturday qualifying; then followed up with an impressive wire-to-wire win in the 40-lap Feature race over the futuristic Shanghai International Circuit.

The nineteen year old driver overcame a sprained wrist he incurred in the earlier Sunday Sprint race when he collided with another car, forcing him to the sidelines in pain.
The A1GP season continues at England’s venerable Brands Hatch race course on May 4th to conclude the 10-round schedule.
A1 Team Switzerland’s Neel Jani holds a substantial points lead in the race for the 2008 World Cup of Motorsports.
