USA’s Jonathan Summerton Scores Second Consecutive Podium at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez

Round eight of ten in the 2007/08 A1GP World Cup of Motorsport competition found Ireland’s Adam Carroll atop the podium on the eve of St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th).

The victory was the first for the Irish driver and the team.

A1 Team USA’s Jonathan Summerton repeated his podium finish (in second place) of last year at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit by finishing third in today’s Feature Race.

The Sprint Race was won by A1 Team New Zealand’s Jonny Reid, bringing the Kiwi’s within fifteen points of championship leader Switzerland’s Neel Jani. France failed to produce any points for the weekend, and remains in third place in the race for the Cup.
