Smart tactics to top off the tanks before green but the wave arounds are BS. Green comes out, the pace car picks up the leader and then what tactics you do dictate things. To wave cars around and give them a free lap is ludicrous. You choose to top off at the end of the yellow, you chose to be at the back of the pack, period.
Its as dumb as Nascar putting a lap down car on the ‘pole position’ for restarts. I have yet to see oone of them get the lap back.
Both Dixon and Franchitti topped off their fuel tanks before the green flag.
