2007 Indy Pro Series Champ Takes Developmental Role at TCGR

Record-breaking Indy Pro Series driver and 2007 IPS Champion Alex Lloyd of Sam Schmidt Motorsports has signed a contract to drive a mixed schedule of IndyCar Series, GrandAm and testing for Target Chip Ganassi Racing.

Lloyd becomes the second member of the talented 2007 Indy Pro Series class of graduates to move up the big cars. Super Aguri Panther Racing’s Hideki Mutoh drove in the IndyCar Series’ season finale at Chicagoland Speedway on September 9th and is expected to return to the team in a similar role for 2008.

Good for Alex, he was a winner oF the McLaren Driver Award when he was only in FFord & up against some serious F3 drivers. He always been short on sponsorship so this is a good example of the cream rising to the top.
