Castroneves Gives Toyota Third Straight Pole at Fontana

Helio Castroneves put his Marlboro Toyota on the pole for a third consecutive race in qualifying for Sunday’s Toyota Indy 400 at the California Speedway. The pole is the fourth of the season for Castroneves and his second straight Toyota Indy 400 pole.

Helio led a Toyota sweep of the top four qualifying positions today, as he was followed by Scott Dixon (Target Toyota), Sam Hornish Jr. (Marlboro Toyota) and Darren Manning (Target Toyota) in the top four spots.

Today’s pole is Toyota’s 15th in 31 IndyCar Series races, third in a row and its fourth of the 2004 campaign.
