From the LA Times:
Scott Dixon wins at Richmond International Raceway
His 19th career IndyCar Series victory ties Sam Hornish Jr.’s record.
Scott Dixon grabbed the lead from teammate Dario Franchitti on pit road just before the midpoint and earned his 19th career IndyCar Series victory on Saturday night at Richmond International Raceway in Virginia, tying Sam Hornish Jr.’s series record.
Dixon and Franchitti, teammates with Target Chip Ganassi Racing, started on the front row and stayed there all night, benefiting from a one-groove race track that made passing difficult, and from their own patience as most everyone else made green-flag pit stops. -Read the rest of the article
Not exactly a surprising victory by Dixon other than the fact that he was able to hold off a very quick Dario Franchitti. But the inability to pass in Indy Car this year has become an epidemic of uneventful racing.
Indy Car has to do *something* to tweak these race cars, so that racing returns to the series. The road and street courses are usually characterized as “parades”, but this year the ovals seem to be parade-ish as well.

Hideki Mutoh led 74 laps and not a word? THAT was probably the high point of the race. The low point? Only 5 cars finishing on the lead lap. The upcoming road courses had better be good or IRL truely will become the forgetable series.
Good point. Most of this race was pretty forgettable, unfortunately. But it was good to see Hideki up front.
