Fisher hospitalized, Menard pulls out again

The IRL field may be reduced to a season low 19 cars if Sarah Fisher is not cleared to race after a heavy practice crash which sent her to the hospital. Sarah was said to be awake and alert and was transported to the hospital for evaluation of back pain.
Additionally, Team Menard has elected to pull out of a second consecutive event due to substitute driver Jaques Lazier wrecking only 6 laps into his first practice run. Jaques was unhurt and the team had a back-up car, but given Jacques’ recent record at the track and the teams numerous recent crashes they have decided to go back to the shop and regroup for the next round of the series at Chicagoland in two weeks time.
